Builders and planners have been so much dedicated to provide exceptional results by giving their best designs and plans that should fit the specifications of the contractor. This is what they want to do and this is also what they do best. Constructing a real estate project is not as easy as it seems to be for most people as it requires careful and expert knowledge in dealing with every corner of the block.

This is the main reason why different software applications are being developed to help design a building. Even a simple household can now draw a floor plan of their house through an off-the-shelf programme that is available in the market today. In fact, most professionals utilise this software on a daily basis alongside a variety of programmes to choose from, depending on their operating systems and the type of structure they would want to draw.

Software applications, aimed at designing a building or any structure, are subdivided into two types, namely 2D and 3D. The 2D programme will allow a user to create 2D drawings of floor plans and elevations. Meanwhile, 3D software allows one to model the building in 3D in which one can be able to show perspective and axonometric views of the structure. Once the building plan has been established, the process called virtual building representation can let the user see what the finish product would look like before it is even constructed. This will be done by assigning materials to the model and creating the building as if it were a real structure on the computer.

Software applications dedicated to constructing buildings are very much useful to facilitate the task of the people in-charge of the project. It would seem hard to do these projects, especially if it is under strict schedule.
